AGNES JAWOREK, PhD
Polish visual artist. Graduate of the Academy of Fine Arts in Katowice. Doctor of fine arts. In 2013, winner of the Prize of the Minister of Culture and National Heritage, as well as the Stipend of the Minister of Science and Higher Education for outstanding achievements. Holder of a stipend from the programme Kultura polska na świecie [Polish Culture in the World ] of the Adam Mickiewicz Institute (2013). In 2016 she received the Stipend of the Minister of Culture and National Heritage for doctoral candidates for outstanding scholarly and artistic achievements of international scope. In 2017 she defended a PhD thesis entitled Aegrum corpus quassari etiam lenibus solet offensis. Alfabetyzm i analfabetyzm zdrowotny [A sick body trembles even when lightly touched. Health Literacy and Illiteracy]. The artist employs various forms of artistic expression: painting, drawing, print, photography, neons, installations, spatial objects and video projections. She has participated in numerous individual and group exhibitions in Poland and abroad (including ones in France, Italy, Spain, Portugal, Germany, England, USA, Nepal, Ukraine, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Slovakia).
MIROSŁAWA URYZAJ
Graduate of the University of Economics in Katowice, Faculty of Informatics, specialty Informatics in Management and Marketing (MA in economy) and of the Faculty of Finance and Accounting, specialty Financial accounting (post-diploma programme). Since 1990, employed at the University of Economics in Katowice, currently as a senior specialist. Has many years’ experience in the recording of economic events in the Financial-Accounting Division. Has skills in configuration, controlling and supporting of the operation of modules of ERP systems as well as adapting parameters to changing requirements, regulations, and improving work in accounting by increasing the effectiveness and precision of processes.
